The Book of Revelation
I Saw Heaven Open - Lesson Five

It's Sunday and an exile by the name of John is worshipping. Suddenly, he hears a voice like a trumpet behind him, and the voice tells him to  “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

Hello, I'm Ken Wright the minister of the church of Christ in New Iberia, Louisiana. Welcome to In Light of the Word.

The idea of repetition is found all throughout the Bible. Amos 1:3 - “For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. In verse 6 he writes, “For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. In verse 9 he writes, “For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath.

Over and over again in the Bible you'll find repetition, and the repetition is to emphasize a point. It's like driving a nail into a board with a hammer. You have to hit it several times to get it home, and that's what God does all through out the Bible. And we find this done over and over in the book of The Revelation.

John me today as we take an opening look at the first of eight scenes in the Revelation and look a message firm God - In Light of the Word.
